How We Work

Insulation Done in the Right Order

Most insulation problems aren’t about the insulation. They’re about the air and moisture moving around it. Here’s how we deal with that.

We Look Before We Quote

Someone goes up into the attic or down into the crawl space before you get a price. Insulation quotes built from a square-footage guess miss the things that decide whether the job works: air leaks, fans venting into the attic, blocked soffits, frost, moisture under the house, old wiring, vermiculite. Those are the things we look for first.

The Order Matters

In an attic: seal the leaks, keep the soffits open, then insulate. In a crawl space: deal with water and structure, put down a proper ground cover, then insulate. Doing it in the wrong order is how people end up with frost in a brand-new attic or wet batts on a crawl space floor.

You Get It in Writing

Your quote says what we are sealing, what we are installing, the depth or R-value we are installing to, and the price. If we find something during the job that changes the scope, we stop and talk to you before doing anything about it.

You See What You Paid For

Most insulation work disappears the minute it’s finished. We take photos of the sealing before it’s covered, set depth markers in the attic, and send you the record so you — or a future buyer — can see what was done.

If It Needs More Than Insulation, We Say So

Sometimes the honest answer is that a crawl space needs structural or drainage work first, or that a roof needs more venting. We tell you. Structural and water work is handled by our foundation company, so it can be coordinated instead of left for you to sort out.
